Course Objectives

• Able to survey areas for potentially flammable or toxic gases using the detection equipment available including confined spaces.
• Able to survey areas and verify suitable oxygen levels.
• Aware of the terminologies, capabilities and limitations of flammable gas test equipment.
• Able to appreciate the requirements of PTW procedures and specified requirements related to gas testing.
• Awareness of hazards, properties and behaviors of some gases may be present in oil / gas facilities.
